Celebrate! Feeling: Thursday, Jun. 12, 2008, 11:57 am
Mot much is going on today. Went to class as usual, then came to the campus library to work on my final paper. I only brought one book with me, and I finished that within half an hour of sitting down. So now I'm gladly spending the rest of my time until I need to go to work on the computer. The paper is due Tuesday; I still have quite a bit of work ahead of me. I have to get through one more source, then it will be time to actually start writing the stupid thing. I'm hoping that I can get a lot of work done on it this weekend, and not have to kill myself on Monday trying to get it done. I'll probably work on it tonight; I'm working all day tomorrow (since it's Friday, of course). I'm not sure if I"ll pick the paper back up tomorrow night, even though I know I should. I'll spend all day on it Saturday -- or at least, all the time that I have, I do have an obligation Saturday afternoon (more on that later). Sunday is Father's Day, of course. After church, Mom, Dad, and I are taking Dad's parents out to eat. We don't have church that evening, so people can spend time with their families. I'm not sure what I'll be doing that evening. Haven't heard what the family plans will be. I'll probably end up working on my paper more. Monday I have class again, but after that I have the entire day free to work on the paper. Tuesday is the last day of my summer class!!! I'm definitely looking forward to that. Kasey and I are making plans to get together to celebrate my freedom; that will probably be Wednesday. Don (my supervisor) has mentioned that he would like me to pick up more hours once my summer class is finished. So Tuesday I e-mailed him and asked him to speak to the president of the company about the hours they'd like me to come in. So I don't know yet how much I'll be working. Don said he wanted me as much as he could get permission for; I'll take whatever I can get. I think you all know that back in December my cousin Sarah was diagnosed with cancer; she had a big surgery then underwent chemotherapy, which was really hard on her. Well, back in May she finished her chemo treatments. Saturday they're having a worship service/party for her. We're so thankful that God brought her through everything OK. We're ready to celebrate, and that's just what we're going to do! Thank you so much for all of your prayers on her behalf. Forty-five minutes until I need to head for work... I should have planned better and brought more material for my paper.
