This poem was written by me. Let me know what you think about it, if you think it's any good, if something doesn't rhyme, etc. :-D Basically, just read it and respond as you would to any other poem. If you think, for some reason, it's about you...keep it to yourself. If you have to know if it's about you, e-mail me and I might tell you. :-P

Feeling Blue


We made many good memories over the years;
Thinking on them now only brings on the tears
Because life's road turned and we followed the bend,
And, somehow, our friendship came to an end.

I don't know what I did, if anything at all,
To cause our easy companionship to stall,
But for some reason I became easy to ignore.
You don't acknowledge my presence any more.

If I did something to hurt you, I want you to know:
I never, ever meant to strike the blow.
If I said something that brought you pain,
I wish I could take it back and start over again.

I wonder if you're bitter, I wonder if you're mad;
I want you to be aware, I've been kind of sad.
I want you to realize, I think about it often,
And wonder if someday your heart will soften.

I think about it often, and I wonder sometimes
If things could be different if you could realize
That I didn't mean to hurt you, or to drive you away;
I guess I really didn't know what I was doing that day.

I have decided to try to let it go,
But there's something you should know:
Just as you may have hurts, I hurt, too,
For being ignored has made me feel blue!
