So...
Feeling:

So I haven't updated for a while. I've been busy, plus I haven't really had much motivation to write. Plus, I went to the library...last week or the week before, I think it was the week before...so I've had my nose stuck in 4 books lately, so I haven't gotten on the computer when I wanted to have some time to myself.
School is going good. Nothing major or out of the ordinary going on. I met with my advisor yesterday to plan out my class schedule for the next ... two years, I guess. The way things are planned now (i.e. if I don't change my mind or get behind somehow), I should be graduating after the Fall '10 semester (I'll do my student teaching in the fall of 2010). So I guess you could say I know exactly what I'll be doing (at least academically, to a certain degree) until 2011. {Just a side note, those dates look so weird... who'd of ever thought that we'd be getting into 2010 and 2011...it seems so far away, but I know the time will pass quickly.} I'll be able to register for the Spring '09 semester beginning November 3rd. I already have all of my classes picked out. On the school site, there's this neat thing called a "shopping cart" where you can pick out the exact classes you want before you're allowed to register for classes. The classes you pick will stay in your shopping cart until the end of the current semester. When you're ready to register, you just go to your shopping cart, select those classes, and click "register" - and then you're done. So I did that yesterday after my meeting with my advisor. I think it's a really neat feature; it will save me a lot of time when I actually want to register for the classes. I don't have to worry about going in and finding the classes I need, and fitting them into a schedule...I've already done that. Now when November 3rd rolls around, I can just select my classes out of my shopping cart and register. How cool is that?
Other than school, life has been pretty much the same as always...My work schedule has been different, because now that I'm into the education program I am required to do a lot of field work (called practicums). Normally during the semester I would just work 8-5 on Fridays and be done with it. But that's all changing, because it's basically a given that in the School of Education, Fridays are the days when you do your practicums. This semester, I have practicums Friday afternoons, tutoring ESL students at a local elementary school, from 12:30-3:30. Thankfully, the school is only about 20 minutes away from my work, so I can work from 8-12 and then head over to do the practicum. I'll be filling in the other 4 hours at work either on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons.
I haven't had a lot of "free time" to do whatever I want and have no responsibilities at all. (Oh how I miss the days of little to no responsibilities!) As I mentioned above, I did go to the library and get a 4-book series, and have had my nose stuck in those for the past week or so. I'm hoping to be able to check out the new book Twilight next. I'm more interested in seeing the movie, which comes out November 21st. (I can hardly believe that I'm interested in this movie...I don't usually go for vampire-type movies, but this one actually looked interesting to me.) I wasn't going to read the book, but Jenna told me I should. We're planning to see the movie together when it comes out. I'm looking forward to that.
Speaking of Jenna, Sunday night we went to a Hawk Nelson concert together. It was AWESOME!!!!! So cool. We got lots of good pictures on my camera; hopefully I'll be able to get them uploaded sometime soon. After the concert we went to Tumbleweed for supper (at 9 P.M. hehe). I had so much fun, not just at the concert (although that was definitely a major blast, we found a GREAT spot, right up front by the huge speakers at the side of the stage), but just the entire night hanging out with Jenna. I didn't want the night to end.
Well...I need to get some homework done. I just wanted to take a few minutes to write, since I hadn't done that in almost two weeks.
