A Thousand Winters Melting

So I'm sitting in the University Center, wasting time until it's time for me to eat. I usually like to head down to the "food court" about 3:15. My next class starts at 4:15. I don't really have that much to write about, but I did want to write. (Yeah, I'm weird like that.) I guess there are a few things I could write about.
Sunday Lola, her new boyfriend Luke, and Clark came over to my house. I had never met Luke before, and they were in town so Luke could meet Lola's family. (Of course he'd already met Clark, because they go to the same college. LOL.) Every time Lola's in town, we try to get together. They didn't have much time this trip, though, unfortunatley. They got in town on Saturday, and had to leave Sunday. I wanted to go to the movies with Lola, but that didn't work out. So we were going to watch a movie at my house; but it turned out that they weren't going to have time for that, either. So we just played a few games of Uno. I hadn't played that game in FOREVER. Lola also hand-delivered a letter to me. (We've been writing back and forth since she went away to college.) Except she hadn't finished it, so I only got part of it; she said she would finish it and mail the rest to me. So Sunday after I finished reading Geography (I had started it while I was waiting for them to get to my house), I read the part she had given me. If I were REALLY crazy, I would have written her back already. :-P I decided I'd just wait though. (I'm sure you're happy about that, aren't you, Lola? hehe) I'm hoping she won't make me wait too long before she gets the rest of the letter in the mail. Anyway. I had a great time playing cards with them. The time went by WAYYYY too quickly. (Y'know how they say time flies when you're having fun...) I didn't want them to leave. But, alas, they had to. The good news is, Lola's Spring Break is the week of my birthday, so she should be in town to do something fun with me when I turn 20. Except it won't actually be the day I turn 20, because that's on a Tuesday, and I have classes. (I have a test on my birthday; ick. At least it's in Education, so it's open-book, open-notes.)
The weather was beautiful Sunday, and warm. We had another really warm day yesterday, with the high around 68 degrees. It was absolutely wonderful. It was sunny in the morning, but as the day progressed it got overcast/cloudy, and rained a lot overnight. Today it's back in the 40's, and it's been raining pretty much all day. I think we're supposed to be getting a lot of rain here in the near future. (Ick. I'd much rather have snow. Rain is so messy and icky and ... wet. LOL.)
Since I couldn't go see Penelope with Lola, I've asked Shawna to go see it with me. So we're planning to see it this Thursday night. (I told you I'd figure out a way to go see it. LOL.) I'm excited about it. Here's a link to the trailer. I'm looking forward to seeing it, and also to spending time with my sister-in-law again. I haven't seen her since they got back from Guatemala.
Um. I can't think of anything else to write. I think I'm going to post the lyrics to the song that's running through my head. I really don't like the song, but they played it on the radio, and for some reason it got stuck in my head. (I hate it when that happens.) So here it is:
A Thousand Winters Melting
by The MyriadThe streets are filled with angels
Walking by my side
and everytime I listen close
I hear their footsteps quickly run and hide
It's all a bit confusing
Impossible at best
But when I walk alone at night
I feel their holy prescence lift my head
Love, Love
A thousand winters melting
Love, yes Love
As you wrap your arms around me
Wait for us to listen
To the voices we can't see
We wait till all the lights go down
